Families we've helped
Real Families. Real Christmas Mornings.
Every family has a story. With their permission, we share a few — because the best way to understand what Christmas QB means is to hear it from the families themselves.
Stories That Remind Us Why We Do This
Behind every donation is a child who woke up on Christmas morning to something they didn't expect — and a parent who felt the weight of the season lift, even just a little. These are their stories, shared with gratitude and with permission.
Michelle & Thomas
Single mother & son, Indianapolis
Michelle is a widow and single mom who, nine months prior, had overcome a dependency on prescription drugs and found a new job to provide for her son, Thomas. Both are growing in their faith. Michelle works full-time, but a surgery sidelined her for six weeks — leaving her behind on rent and without income. Christmas QB stepped in to help cover Christmas for Thomas and assist with rent while Michelle recovered. She is a fighter, and Thomas has a mom who never stopped showing up for him.

Melissa, Daniel & Their Five Boys
Family of seven, Indianapolis
Melissa has endured four family deaths in two years. A recovering addict with two years of sobriety, she stays home to care for her five boys, ages 4 to 15. Her husband Daniel recently received a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic and returned to work as a mechanic. Their son Caleb has autism and faces daily challenges, but the older boys are thriving at school. Christmas QB helped bring Christmas to a family carrying more than most could imagine — and gave those boys a holiday morning they deserved.

Patricia & Owen
Single mother & son, Indianapolis
Patricia is a single mom of two boys who works full-time at Pizza Hut. She works hard every day. Her son Owen, 14, has struggled in school — but he's turning a corner, staying out of trouble and making real progress. Christmas QB helped make sure Owen's Christmas reflected what he's becoming, not just where he's been.

Logan, Lily, Eli & Grandpa Robert
Grandparent-led household, Indianapolis
Three kids being raised by their grandfather because their mother is battling addiction. Logan and Eli are teenagers doing well — Eli wrestles, and Logan recently saved enough money working part-time to buy his first used car. Baby Lily is one year old. The family of four shares a small trailer with three others. Christmas QB brought Christmas to a grandfather who never stopped showing up for his grandchildren.

Brian, Laura & Their Family
Foster and biological family, Indianapolis
Laura is both a biological mom and a foster mom — caring for multiple children at once while Brian works to support the family. The children are doing well in school. They barely make ends meet, and Christmas QB was, in their words, a huge blessing — giving their kids a Christmas morning that reflected how much they are loved.

Jessica's Four Children
Foster family, Indianapolis
Jessica's four children were placed with a foster family after losing both parents — their father passed away, and their mother is battling addiction. Despite everything, the children are doing well in school. The oldest, 16, recently had a baby and is back enrolled in school — showing a resilience that is nothing short of remarkable. Christmas QB made sure these kids had a Christmas that reminded them they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Sharon & Isaac
Single mother & son, Indianapolis
Sharon is a single mom raising Isaac, age 7, whose father abandoned the family and rarely visits. Isaac has struggled with anger and has been in fights at school — but underneath it all, he is a sweet boy who simply needs love and a consistent male role model in his life. He is making progress. Christmas QB helped give Isaac a Christmas morning that told him: you matter.

Denise & Her Four Daughters
Single mother & family, Indianapolis
Denise is a single mom who has been served by Christmas QB for over ten years. A woman of deep faith, she and her girls attend and serve at their church weekly. Monica works full-time. Natalie is in college on a full scholarship. Brianna is a senior in high school playing basketball. Kayla, a freshman, has faced serious emotional health challenges this year — but she has a family around her that loves her fiercely. Denise works full-time as an in-home nurse. This family is a testament to what perseverance and faith look like in real life.

Angela & Mason
Mother & son, Indianapolis
Angela and her son Mason were homeless when Christmas QB found them — moving from hotel to hotel each week. Angela is six months into recovery from addiction and is also battling breast cancer. Mason attends school while working at Burger King after hours, walking to his shifts. Christmas QB helped fund Christmas for Mason and assisted with rent to help the family find stable housing. Their story is one of the hardest — and one of the most hopeful.

Kevin, Elena, TJ & Sophie
Family of four, Indianapolis
Kevin spent a year in jail for a probation violation and came out two years clean from meth. Elena is five months clean. Together, they are rebuilding — both working, providing for TJ and Sophie, who are doing better in school. Kevin volunteers at Narcotics Anonymous to help others on the same road he walked. TJ overdosed on fentanyl nearly a year ago and had to be revived twice while his father was incarcerated. He is clean now and moving forward. Kevin recently bought a used car for $400 to get to work. Christmas QB helped with Christmas and assisted the family in catching up on rent. This is what second chances look like.
